Due to its central location, 18HÂþ»­ is very well connected to other cities and regions by rail – London can be reached in two hours, Manchester in 53 minutes and Leeds in 45 minutes.

The city is also served by two coach operators connecting 18HÂþ»­ to major destinations. Coaches can be caught from 18HÂþ»­ Interchange or from Meadowhall Interchange which is a short tram, train or bus ride away.

From 18HÂþ»­ station you can travel directly to the University’s main campus by tram, with journeys taking less than 10 minutes. To do this catch a blue route service from the tram stop at the station towards Malin Bridge. Trams run every 12 minutes.

If you fancy some fresh air it’s a 20 minute walk. Alternatively you can catch one of a number of buses from outside the station or across the road from 18HÂþ»­ Interchange or you can hop in a taxi which will take around 10 minutes.

18HÂþ»­ is also well served by the national coach network and you can catch one from 18HÂþ»­ Interchange or Meadowhall Interchange.


Regional train travel

Coach travel

coaches serve 18HÂþ»­ Interchange, which is located opposite the train station. Students holding a Young Persons' Coachcard can get a third off travel on National Express services.

and  coaches serve Meadowhall Interchange, four miles from 18HÂþ»­ city centre. From Meadowhall you can catch a tram to the University of 18HÂþ»­ tram stop by traveling on the yellow route towards Middlewood. Alternatively you can catch a bus or train.
